Torque Release Technique

At Empower Chiropractic, we use a new, very gentle technique that is different from traditional chiropractic techniques. This new technique allows us to realign the spine without using heavy force, or any twisting, cracking, or popping that we see in manual chiropractic care. While traditional chiropractic care can be very effective, many people do not enjoy the heavy adjustment feel and prefer a much more gentle approach. We love this new gentle style because it ensures our care is safe and effective for the entire family. We use this technique on everyone from post-surgical patients, geriatric patients with severe osteoporosis or osteopenia and children as young as three years old.

What is Torque Release Technique and how does it work?

Our technique is called the Torque Release Technique (TRT). It was founded at the University of Miami Medical center by Dr. Jay Holder, DC. The technique was founded directly from research and has FDA approval due to the myriad research studies promoting its effectiveness in clinical settings. Torque Release Technique utilizes a tool called the Integrator, which is a small handheld instrument that fires at 1/10,000th of a second. This high speed allows our doctors to adjust with speed and precision, rather than force and muscle. By using the Integrator, we ensure each adjustment is duplicatable, so our results are controlled, predictable, and congruent no matter which chiropractic is delivering the adjustment.

How Torque Release Technique Can Help.

Torque Release Technique is centered around the correction of spinal subluxations. A subluxation is simply a misaligned spinal bone that puts pressure and irritation on nerves. The result of a spinal subluxation can be pain and tension around the subluxated area, but can also cause dysfunction in the body due to reduced nerve transmission.

By correcting spinal subluxations, chiropractors are restoring normal nerve function, reducing pain and swelling, and promoting proper spinal biomechanics and alignment. In our office, we have seen testimonials for symptoms such as headaches and migraines, low back pain and sciatica, tension in the shoulders and neck, anxiety and depression, and digestive concerns.

We pride ourselves in achieving fast results and complete spinal correction. Rather than simply achieving pain relief temporarily, we use the Torque Release Technique to create long-term changes in the spine to prevent relapses back into old symptoms. We believe the time, effort, and money spent on chiropractic care should create lasting results, and that’s why we love our technique and approach in our office.
